UCB has a ticket in about the issue in saving a set in NZ. Is it an configuration issue or has that have to do with the use role/permission level? UCLA has experienced losing a set saved in NZ.

  • It was not developed by EXL.

  • If EXL updates the indexing, can we benefit from that?

Feedback from UCLA East Asia Library:

•  Just an additional note about TSVCC, which was presented at the OCLC CJK Group annual meeting by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Library back in 2006. This mapping system must have proved to be effective after several years in production. If we could just verify if the current TSVCC covers the list of variant characters here, that’d make a further meaningful impact on ExLibris’ global community including us!

Need clarification from EXL. Many things are unclear and are not answered in their documentation.
Communication has been a serious issue with EXL--will be addressed at different levels of SILS.

Shi is communicating with HK group for more information about their settings/configuration.

Sandbox re-index is February so testing should be done by Mid-January.

No solution for November re-index; no solid timeline/options for implementation yet.

$5 codes/normalization

Would definitely help if unwanted ones could be removed--probably it makes more sense to screen it out in Primo but that would need to be done by each campus and a lot of work.
We could test a norm rule to eliminate ones nobody wants.

Are there any non-UC $5 we want to keep? There are some that are valid and could remain in the records

Create a separate rule for testing, but integrate it into the allUC rule for implementation

Our next scheduled meeting is technically 11/24, which we’ll cancel. Our next meetings after that are 12/8 and then 12/22. Assuming we cancel the 12/22 meeting, that has us meeting 1 more time in 2022. Is that ok with everyone, should we meet on 12/1 and 12/15 instead?

• Interest in session answering questions on how campuses decide when or why to use CZ

Limited Search Functionality in Alma and Analytics

• EL has been asked repeatedly to index all MARC fields. There is a limit on the number of local parameters we can set up, and there is a need to identify data that is not indexed (example, content type)

• Alma Idea Exchange: Add 880 field to the Bibliographic Details dimension table in Analytics
