Update on Proposal for Expanded NZ Access: TJ and I (along with ERES and OARMPT chairs) met with Caitlin and Gem last Friday. All agree on operational need. Existing process (https://uc-sils.atlassian.net/l/cp/3GGiBJrt) can be adapted for expanded need. We will develop some principles around NZ access that will guide the process. We’ll focus on two use cases right now--OA electronic inventory (practical need; good for developing principles) and ACTL (few stakeholders, “easy,” good for developing practical/technical solutions like SSO logins) We’ll work under the assumption that we have the number of named accounts we need.

3	Local notes in NZ check-in		10 mins	All	(new) Berkeley is almost done resolving theirs Santa Cruz is done with theirs - any concerns on deleting these? Still struggling to figure out how to report well on 9XX fields in NZ. Which fields do we want to focus on to start?	We’re comfortable removing the 903 fields from the NZ UCSC uses 993 for our Discovery records. We also map field 753 (video game platform) to 953. I can’t remember if Alma considers field 753 “legit,” even though it’s a defined field. We’ll focus on the 950-999 fields in the NZ. We should exclude the 994 fields since there are tons of them (or remove all of them before we search)	@Hermine Vermeij will contact CDL Ops to remove the 903 fields Everyone should come up with a couple 9XX fields they use locally that we can search for in the NZ
4	NZ bibs without OCLC numbers		10 mins	All	I started looking at some of them, and there are a wide variety of problems, including: Bad/incomplete merges E-resource loads Vendor issues Human error Linking errors OCLC number in 035$z rather than 035$a OCLC number in 935 rather than 035 OCLC number was deleted at some point Wayward test records Next steps?	It’s worth it to go through the list to find patterns and problems	Everyone should go through the no-OCLC-number list and resolve records from their campus
