UCB: working on call number mapping/999 field; edited the merge rue to remove the extra fields and so far it’s working fine.
Merging IZ records linked to the same NZ record (Adam has shared an overview of the process).

Question about 904
How do campuses use the field/information? – not much?
Serving as an indicator of merged record; can be inde if needed, but depending on the process taken to merge, IZ MMS ID is added to 904--could be an issues since 904 is not a local field. What changes could/should be made?

ETD policies/practices

Understand how different campuses are currently dealing with ETDs.

• UCSC uses Proquest records in the CZ

• UCB: have ETD local collection; harvest metadata from DAMS

• UCI: similar to UCLA

• UCR: CDI only, but keeping some local records as well.

• CDL has 2 collections: Dissertations & Theses @ University of California; ProQuest Dissertations & Theses A&I

CDI does not show the originating campus

• Alma August release has five CZ “Managed by Community” collections where portfolios can be deleted by everyone

• Interest in session answering questions on how campuses decide when or why to use CZ

Limited Search Functionality in Alma and Analytics

• EL has been asked repeatedly to index all MARC fields. There is a limit on the number of local parameters we can set up, and there is a need to identify data that is not indexed (example, content type)

• Alma Idea Exchange: Add 880 field to the Bibliographic Details dimension table in Analytics

Sharing session idea - fun with the CZ? (Maybe in conjunction with e-res?)

Evaluate and refine WDU configuration
