UCSB

• Negotiating with vendors to have OCLC numbers sent with our records

• Setting up prediction patterns (finally) for our recurring renewals

• The current Music Library will be moved into the main library this fall, it is unclear what impact this will have on music cataloging at this point but database maintenance will be impacted as the collection will likely be downsized/items sent to SRLF

UCLA

• Continuing to uncover all kinds of weirdness in the duplicate record report; many will require SRLF (or other units) to follow up and edit OCLC holdings, etc.

• Casalini meeting was promising: they will give us at least a (correct) OCLC number for everything, even if it’s a vendor placeholder, and they are batch-loading to OCLC every month with their full records.

• Alma August release has five CZ “Managed by Community” collections where portfolios can be deleted by everyone

• Interest in session answering questions on how campuses decide when or why to use CZ

Limited Search Functionality in Alma and Analytics

• EL has been asked repeatedly to index all MARC fields. There is a limit on the number of local parameters we can set up, and there is a need to identify data that is not indexed (example, content type)

• Alma Idea Exchange: Add 880 field to the Bibliographic Details dimension table in Analytics
